Overall, the preservation of muscle mass in the Sod1KO/mPRDX3Tg mice was modest (Figure 3), suggesting that redox imbalance induced by excess hydrogen peroxide and its downstream pathways may not be the sole regulator of muscle mass in redox‐dependent sarcopenia, or that undermined effects of PRDX3 overexpression may have contributed to the moderate effect. Here, PRDX3 is linked to sarcopenia.
