F. nucleatum promotes EMT by regulating the expression of E-cadherin, Vimentin, N-cadherin, and Snail1 in noncancerous human immortalized oral epithelial cells and oral squamous cell cancer (Zhang et al., 2020) and by regulating the expression of Snail, E-cadherin, and fibronectin in colorectal cancer (Yu et al., 2020). Here, CDH2 is linked to colorectal cancer.
