Moreover, the RT-PCR results showed that the silencing of ITGA2 in the pancreatic cancer cells significantly increased the mRNA levels of cyclin dependent kinase inhibitor 2B (CDKN2B), cyclin dependent kinase inhibitor 1A (CDKN1A), and serpin family E member 3 (SERPINE3), which are the downstream molecules of the TGF-β signaling pathway (Fig. 2e–g).
