High AKAP8L expression predicted poorer PFS outcome in ESCC patients with T1/2 stage (p = 0.0031), T3/4 stage (p = 0.0047), N0 (p < 0.001), and TNM I /II ((p < 0.001), whereas the PFS survival outcome did not differ significantly between patients in the low and high AKAP8L-expression groups in N1/2 (p = 0.5916) and TNM III /IV (p = 0.9150). Here, AKAP8L is linked to esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
