TAMs in glioma are commonly identified by the expression of CD11b, CD14, CD68, CD163, and CD206. Additionally, we demonstrated that CD44 expression has high concordance with CD11b, CD14, CD68, CD163, and CD206, which indicates a synergistic relationship between CD44 and macrophage markers in glioma (Supplementary Figure 9). This evidence concerns the gene CD68 and central nervous system cancer.
