As we mentioned before, TAM can release cytokines, especially IL6, which could bind specific receptors on CRC cell surface, activating JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway, downregulating tumor suppressor miR-506-3p, and relieve the inhibition of the latter on FOXQ1 that results in enhanced invasion and metastasis of CRC (25).
