(2020b) reported that a helium atmospheric-pressure plasma jet treatment induced miR-203a overexpression and then led to the degradation of its target gene BIRC5, thereby suppressing cell proliferation and accelerating cell apoptosis in human lung cancer. Another study identified miR-19a-3p as a mediator of the cell proliferation-inhibitor effect of CAP in MCF-7 breast cancer cells (Lee et al., 2016).
