Upon activation, FSHR classically couples to Gαs in Sertoli and granulosa cells of the gonads, therefore we initially assessed the ability of FSH to activate Gαs signaling by measuring intracellular cAMP accumulation in Ishikawa cells, an epithelial endometrial adenocarcinoma cell line that expresses both estrogen and progesterone receptors (64, 65). The gene discussed is FSHR; the disease is endometrium adenocarcinoma.
