PLXNA3 and polycystic ovary syndrome: For all NW participants, women with PCOS exhibited a risk of abdominal obesity and metabolic disorder compared to women without PCOS because they had greater waist circumference, higher levels of FINS, HbA1c, HOMA-IR, UA, creatinine, and sex hormone dysregulation (b P < 0.05 for NW-Con vs. NW-PCOS, Table 1).
