(18)); all-cause mortality, diabetes, and cardiac failure in adults (from Pietzner et al. (19)); and, variants in FADS1-2-3, which are also independently linked to death from cardiovascular disease (Table 1). Here, FADS1 is linked to neonatal abstinence syndrome.
