The level of NLRP3 is significantly increased in patients with OSA [13], mTOR is an important target mediating autophagy, inhibition of the mTOR signaling pathway can significantly reduce the level of NLRP3 and reduce organ damage caused by OSA [14], and the mTOR/NLRP3 pathway can be used as a potential intervention target to increase autophagy and then reduce cell death to delay renal injury [15]. Here, NLRP3 is linked to obstructive sleep apnea syndrome.
