Cis‐spliced epitopes derived from melanoma‐associated antigens are recognised by CD8+ T cells in peripheral blood of melanoma patients (Ebstein et al., 2016; Faridi et al., 2020), and can be successfully targeted by adoptive T cell therapy in melanoma patients (Dalet et al., 2011; Robbins et al., 1994). This evidence concerns the gene CD8A and melanoma.
