These data led to the approval of nivolumab plus ipilimumab combined with chemotherapy (2 cycles) in many countries, including the United States, the European Union, and several Asian countries such as Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Singapore, as first-line treatment for patients with metastatic or recurrent NSCLC, with no EGFR or ALK genomic tumor aberrations [7, 8, 18–22]. Here, EGFR is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
