When mutated and wild-type versions of UCBSV-2xMYC were inoculated in N. benthamiana (n = 2 per virus), all of them produced indistinguishable infections, with comparable symptoms (S4 Fig) and virus accumulation in upper non-inoculated leaves as observed by immunodetection of UCBSV CP (Fig 6E). The gene discussed is CP; the disease is infection.
