In acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) cells, STIM1‐dependent Ca2+ entry has been linked to PKCβ2 activation (Zheng et al., 2018) and in vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) STIM1 has been linked to increased PLCβ1 activity and subsequent phosphorylation of PKC (Shi et al., 2017). This evidence concerns the gene STIM1 and acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
