We therefore genotyped hESCs for these common variants and identified 22 cell lines with a “universal donor” O blood type, a cell line (Elf1) likely resistant to HIV infection, and three cell lines carrying the APOE “e4/e4” risk haplotype for cardiovascular disease and AD (Figures 3A–3C; Table S2B). This evidence concerns the gene ELF1 and Alzheimer disease.
