In the first years of life, the non-IgE-mediated gastrointestinal (GI) food allergic diseases (non-IgE-GI-FA) including food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome (FPIES), food protein-induced enteropathy (FPE) and food protein-induced allergic proctocolitis (FPIAP), represent the majority of food allergies (4).
