CHUK and cancer: Protein expression of IKKα was not associated with cancer-specific survival (HR 1.24 95% CI 0.90–1.72, p = 0.188), in the full cohort, however, when examined in the context of tumour location, high expression of IKKα was associated with a significant reduction in cancer-specific survival in patients with right-sided tumour location (HR 1.67 95% CI 1.06–2.64, p = 0.026) (Fig. 4).
