CUEDC1 and cervical carcinoma: Among these were CLEC2D (a gene involved in innate immunity through the NK cell C-type lectin receptor), TNFSF10 (a cytokine tied to apoptosis), CUEDC1 (a widely expressed gene that is also tied to cervical cancer and pre-eclampsia), SBNO2 (a transcriptional co-regulator that counteracts the inflammatory action of IL-10) and ZEB2 (a master regulator of the epithelial–mesenchymal transition, key to embryo implantation and tissue regeneration, fibrosis and neoplasia).
