Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway analysis indicated that Znhit1 deficiency could affect several important biological functions, such as fatty acid metabolism, cardiac muscle contraction, dilated cardiomyopathy, and branched-chain amino acids (including valine, leucine, and isoleucine) degradation (Supplemental Figure 6B). Here, ZNHIT1 is linked to dilated cardiomyopathy.
