Coadministration of natural compounds, such as curcumin (CUR), enhanced CIS apoptotic activity on CIS-resistant lung adenocarcinoma cells through the inhibition of FANCD2 mono-ubiquitination and inactivation of the Fanconi anemia (FA)/BRCA pathway, which is a DNA cross-link damage repair pathway responsible for cellular resistance regulation towards DNA cross-link agents [172]. Here, FANCD2 is linked to lung adenocarcinoma.
