IFNB1 and myeloid sarcoma: With respect to previous studies of peripheral EV miRNAs in MS, of which nine have been conducted to date to the best of our knowledge, up-regulated miR-451a in RRMS (RRMS-specific in the present study) is consistent with the work of Ebrahimkhani et al. [34] and Manna et al. [37], with the latter reporting the normalising of EV miR-451a by IFN-β treatment; up-regulated EV miR-25-3p was RRMS-specific in the present study and was previously reported to be up-regulated in RRMS in plasma EVs [38].
