Since it has been previously reported that MAPK/ERK signaling elicits similar gene deregulation (e.g., BMP6, TBX21, and SERPIND1) to our study [37,38,39], it is possible that BRAF V600E affects the downstream genes through MAPK/ERK-dependent transcription factors and dysregulates a series of gene expression in different cancer types. The gene discussed is SERPIND1; the disease is cancer.
