Uterine leiomyomas (ULMs), together with multiple cutaneous (CLMs) and renal cell carcinomas (RCCs), are known as hereditary leiomyomatosis and renal cell cancer (HLRCC), a rare autosomal dominant inherited metabolic disease, resulting from fumarate hydratase (FH, NG_012338.1) gene mutations on chromosome 1q42.3-43 [1], which lead to multiple cutaneous leiomyomas, uterine leiomyomas (in women) and renal cell carcinomas. The gene discussed is FH; the disease is Uterine leiomyoma.
