TIA1 and infection: This is also the case for some flaviviruses, such as dengue virus (DENV) and West Nile virus (WNV), which are able to use TIA1 and TIAR as transcription factors to favor the synthesis of their genomes [104,143,144]; and Zika virus (ZIKV), for which it has been proposed that TIA proteins may localize to replication sites during infection, modulating translation and thus affecting viral RNA and protein levels [145,146].
