CXCR4 is a putative mediator between miR-126 and the RhoA/ROCK signaling pathway [80,82], promoting mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) p42/44 phosphorylation and activation of the phosphoinositide-3-kinase (PI3K)/AKT pathway [83,84,85], which are further linked to lymph node metastasis and the unfavorable overall survival of PDAC patients [80]. This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and metastatic malignant neoplasm in the lymph nodes.
