Based on the expression profile of CD133 in CaCo-2 cells [52], we utilized the interaction of anti-CD133 Ab-coated nanoparticles and CD133 cell surface antigens as a very promising approach to realize the highly specific and effective delivery of OXA to CD133-overexpressing cells from colorectal carcinoma, which is difficult to treat efficiently. This evidence concerns the gene PROM1 and colorectal carcinoma.
