MKI67 and neoplasm: Two clinical trials, PROMID [41] and CLARINET [42], demonstrated SSA efficiency in controlling tumor growth; in addition, both lanreotide and octreotide showed superior progression-free survival (PFS) compared to placebo and are considered the first-line treatment for slow-growing (Ki-67 < 10%) PanNETs with somatostatin-receptor expression [34,40].
