The indications for intravitreal injection of anti-VEGF agents were age-related macular degeneration, polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy and retinal angiomatous proliferation (together 79% of all eyes), macula edema with branch retinal vein occlusion (8%), diabetic macular edema (7%), myopic choroidal neovascularization (2%), macula edema with central retinal vein occlusion (1%), proliferative diabetic retinopathy (1%), and others (2%). Here, VEGFA is linked to age-related macular degeneration.
