Finally, the Edoxaban Treatment Versus Vitamin K Antagonist in Patients With Atrial Fibrillation Undergoing Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (ENTRUST-AF PCI) study [24] was the last trial using DOACs in this setting: 1506 patients (52% with ACS) with AF undergoing PCI were assigned to edoxaban (60 mg once daily) plus a P2Y12 inhibitor (clopidogrel in 92% of cases) for 12 mo or a VKA in combination with a P2Y12 inhibitor and aspirin (100 mg once daily, for 1–12 mo, INR target 2.0-3.0). This evidence concerns the gene P2RY12 and atrial fibrillation.
