Cholangiocarcinoma, thymoma, renal, and pancreatic cancers appeared to show an overall prominent expression of basophil and activated basophil signatures; for example, pancreatic cancer had upregulated expression of basophil markers, CD123 and FcεRI, and of basophil activation markers, CD63 and tryptase, compared with expression in the corresponding non-malignant tissue. This evidence concerns the gene CD63 and familial pancreatic carcinoma.
