Two randomized, multicenter phase III trials investigated the relevance of adding Nivolumab to standard of care treatment in the first-line setting of MGMT-unmethylated (Checkmate 498; nivolumab plus radiation versus temozolomide and radiation) and MGMT-methylated (Checkmate 548; nivolumab plus temozolomide and radiation therapy versus placebo plus standard of care) glioblastoma patients [4,5].
