In a BrafV600E; Pten-/-; bcat-null-KO (Tyr::CreERT2-Bos; BrafCA; PtenF/F; Ctnnb1ex2-6F/F) mouse model, in which β-catenin is inactivated, the occurrence of melanoma is strongly delayed relative to that in a BrafV600E; Pten-/- model [78]. This evidence concerns the gene PTEN and melanoma.
