In studies of the immunophenotypes in patients diagnosed with laryngeal cancer, the changes in the number of individual lymphocyte subpopulations were observed in relation to a control group, with the differences being related to an increase in CD4+ CD3+ lymphocytes and a decrease in CD19+ B and CD3+ T lymphocytes as compared to the control group, which suggested that they have a significant role in the pathogenesis of laryngeal cancer. This evidence concerns the gene CD19 and laryngeal carcinoma.
