MOV10 and infection: Since the viral E3 ubiquitin ligase ICP0 is known to induce proteosomal degradation of cellular proteins [41], we used an ICP0-null mutant virus 7134, but found that its infection of Neuro-2a cells also caused no upregulation of MOV10 protein (Fig 1C), indicating that MOV10 protein upregulation was blocked by a mechanism independent of ICP0-mediated degradation.
