With four major subtypes of HNSCC, atypical, basal, classical, and mesenchymal, NUTF2 expression in three subtypes was significantly higher in cancer tissues compared with adjacent normal tissues (P < 0.01); only the atypical subtype showed no significant difference, but high NUTF2 expression in tumor tissue was still observed in the boxplot (Figure 1(c)).
