In addition, some lncRNAs, such as metastasis-associated lung adenocarcinoma transcript-1 (MALAT-1), microvascular invasion in hepatocellular carcinoma (MVIH), NEAT1, and gastric cancer associated transcript 3 (GACAT3), have also been found to modulate the expression of EMT markers during GC progression (16, 137–140), indicating that these lncRNAs may also be involved in the development of drug resistance in GC by regulating the EMT process. This evidence concerns the gene MALAT1 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
