It has been shown that EIF3C upregulated the expression level of S100 calcium-binding protein A11(S100A11), which plays critical roles in cancer progression and angiogenesis in PLC5 cells, and treatment with exosome inhibitor GW4869 or suppression of S100A11 expression could abolish the EIF3C-mediated HCC angiogenesis (66). This evidence concerns the gene EIF3C and hepatocellular carcinoma.
