MAPK8 and colonic neoplasm: Previous studies suggested that 12,13-epoxyoctadecenoic acid (EpOME) as a metabolite of linoleic acid produced by CYP monooxygenase increased cytokine production and JNK phosphorylation in vitro and exacerbated AOM/DSS-induced colon tumorigenesis in vivo, which revealed CYP2C enzymes being a novel therapeutic target for patients with colon cancer (67).
