SSTR2 and meningioma: Advanced adjunct imaging modalities are emerging as potential tools for the management of WHO Grade 2 meningiomas, most notably the use of [68Ga]-DOTATATE, a positron emission tomography (PET) radiotracer targeting somatostatin receptor 2 (SSTR2), which has been immunohistochemically proven to be present on the cell surface of 79%–100% of meningiomas (7, 8), and other Gallium-68-labeled somatostatin analogs (9, 10).
