Collectively, all the data showed that GOT1 catalyzed glutamine transamino-metabolism played a major role on HCC cells survival when glucose is high, while GDH1 mediated deamino-metabolism played a leading role on cells survival when glucose is insufficient, implying that major glutaminolysis pathways of HCC cells could change under different glucose concentration levels. This evidence concerns the gene GLUD1 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
