These include overexpression of Hedgehog signaling-related genes with EGFR TKI-resistance in NSCLC suggesting brain metastases, promotion of PC9 cells motility and attenuating their sensitivity to gefitinib through Hedgehog signaling, overcoming of EGFR TKI-resistance through knockdown of GLI1 in PC9 cells, revealing that the SHH induces or GLI1 knockdown regulates EMT markers which reverse gefitinib resistance in xenograft tumors, and synergism of GDC-0449 and gefitinib increase tumors sensitivity. This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
