Indeed, epitope mapping of sera from SSA/Ro60-positive patients with connective tissue disease on the 3D structure of SSA/Ro60 did not reveal a single, convincing immunodominant B-cell epitope, and diagnostic value for any single SSA/Ro60 B-cell epitope (auto-epitope) has not been established (2).
