Increased Hsp90 plasma levels were found in male patients and those with IIM-associated interstitial lung disease, cardiac involvement, dysphagia, the positivity of anti-Ro (52kDa) antibodies, and current use of conventional synthetic antirheumatic drugs (csDMARDs) (p<0.05 for all comparisons to patients without these features) (Table 3). Furthermore, the bivariate analysis demonstrated a significant association of plasma Hsp90 with several clinical and laboratory measures of disease activity and damage. The gene discussed is CALR; the disease is interstitial lung disease.
