In a recent study conducted in 177 patients with prostate cancer and 443 metastatic bone lesions and aimed at assessing the response of bone metastases by CT and PSMA-PET volumetric parameters: whole-body total-lesion PSMA, whole-body PSMA-tumor volume, as well as the established maximum standard uptake values (SUVmax) and mean standard uptake values (SUVmean), an association was determined between SUVmean, Gleason Scores, lesion classification, and serum-PSA levels but not for CT-derived bone density measurements before and after therapy (p > 0.05). The gene discussed is FOLH1; the disease is Familial prostate cancer.
