Overall, our results are in agreement with those reported by Veeraraghavan et al. which showed that ESR1-CCDC170 fusions, when introduced into ER-positive breast cancer cells, leads to a markedly increase of cell motility and colony-forming ability, increase in S-G2/M phase cells and a decrease in G0/G1 phase cells. Here, ESR1 is linked to breast carcinoma.
