Interestingly, a recent investigation reported that, in individuals who are FDR, the reduced ability of subcutaneous APC to differentiate is associated with impaired ability to suppress the p53 senescence marker after adipocyte differentiation (Gustafson et al., 2019), suggesting that SAT abnormalities related to T2D familiarity reflect the detrimental effects of early APC senescence. Here, APC is linked to type 2 diabetes mellitus.
