Several central domain RyR mutations causing calcium handling-related catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (CPVT) showed a decreased inhibition of RyR activity by Mg2+ ions (Lehnart et al., 2004; Guo et al., 2020). Here, RYR2 is linked to catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia.
