ADRB3 and cancer: Significantly reduced the number of neutrophils and monocytes was detected in PyMT-ADRB3-/- mice as compared with control littermates (4.7 ± 0.4 vs. 2.4 ± 0.2, P < 0.05; 4.7 ± 0.4 vs. 2.4 ± 0.2, P < 0.05) (Fig. 5D), suggesting that cancers, through a systemic effect on the host by ADRB3, can induce an increase in peripheral blood neutrophils, which are predisposed to NET formation.
