MET and ovarian carcinoma: To test the hypothesis that c-MET/VEGFR-2 heterocomplex formation is responsible for patients experiencing a worse outcome from bevacizumab, we tested the clinical significance of c-MET/VEGFR-2 co-localisation in epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) and refined the analysis further by genotyping germline single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in VEGF pathway-related genes to assess whether specific SNPs were associated with c-MET/VEGFR-2 co-localisation and survival outcomes.
